What is Flectalon?
  Flectalon - a revolutionary insulating product  
 

Flectalon is a lightweight, durable, high performance insulation material approved and used by NASA, and has been used for many years by ambulance and rescue services to treat shock and hypothermia in the most adverse weather conditions. It is also used in equine and pet clothing products as well as in clothing used by deep sea divers.
 
  So why is Flectalon an effective insulator?
 

Flectalon can provide instant warmth and maintain a safe even temperature. Its multi-layers of fine reflective fibres made from aluminised polypropylene trap warm air and are extremely effective in reflecting body heat back to the user making it the product of choice where the need for fast, effective insulation is critical.
   
     
  Flectalon is long lasting and durable
The body is able to 'breathe' through the Flectalon, and amazingly it retains it insulating properties even when wet or compressed. The thermal qualities are maintained throughout the life of the product and after repeated washing. This durablility means that Flectalon has been shown to outlast other hollow-fibre products.
